First topic message reminder :

Hello everyone

Now Bulgaria is welcoming Baba Marta just interested to find out how the weather is changing. Still looks a little cold but spring should be on the way. As should as it is I will book my flight back.

Any signs yet that summer is on the way ie bulbs shooting yet etc s

We had a deluge of rain here in VT last night, but every cloud has a silver lining, it saved me watering the veggie plot again!! The weather forecast until the middle of July shows thunderstorms nearly every day. We have dozens of enormous fields with Lucerne growing near us and the farmers need at least five sunny days to harvest them.

Have just out in the garden and contemplating whether to water the veg and hey ho . . . not five minutes later it's chucking it down here in VT. That's another job I don't have to do today.

Morning Itchy, you skiving again eh!!! We have been lucky so far here for the past 3 or 4 weeks no rain i if any just a passing light shower, but I am told this won't last we are headiing for at least 7 days of rain so watch this space. I am not bothering to clear the garden until the rains has been and gone so well have a little bit of greenery for a while.

The rain has certainly made things grow this year and in amongst Bernard's contributions to our veg patch he has planted some pumpkins. These things grow like triffids, with arms going out everywhere and growing twelve feet long. Our largest pumpkin is 18 inches across and weighs goodness knows what, I haven't attempted to lift it and see what it weighs, it might do something to my lower torso!! Suffice it to say that two or three of us will eventually load it into a wheelbarrow for Bernard to do what he wants with it!! Bless him!!
