If you have any sour cherry trees in your garden, try making cherry brandy.2 litre rakia to 1 kg of both sugar and sour cherry. Put in a decanter all together and shake daily. Leave for a month or longer on a window sill, it needs some sun. Drain off the cherries and you have beautiful cherry brandy and some lovely cherries to eat after too. g

No. Just as they are. washed and just put them in with the sugar. as you shake each day the sugar slowly dissolves. Make sure its put in a warm sunny spot, on the kitchen windowsill. The web actually says, 1 litre rakia, 1kg sugar, 1 kg sour cherries. Its actual name is visnjevac.
