With burglar alarm systems what people sometimes either forget or do not know about are 'Vibration' sensors, in Bernies case (and others obviously) I would install one on one of the beams in the loft area, then hopefully and depending on how sensitive it has been set because they can be set by as much as having the wall hit with a sledgehammer, to just cleaning the windows to set it off, so yes, they are very good and well worth the 'small' added cost, so hopefully and if installed properly anyone walking on the roof will set the alarm off before they get through the roof thinking they have gotten around the alarm system.

Still on the topic of CCTV cameras, the last IP Camera I ordered from eBay (as mentioned in a earlier post) arrived this morning from China, which I managed to get for a total of inc postage £29.05 and have to say am well pleased with it especially as all the functions work, such as slow panning and being able to turn off the LEDs, so no back glare from the window.
(Winning bid: US $34.00 + Shipping: $9.80)

Obviously and especially at the price it doesn't have a zoom function 'unfortunately' but at least the software is compatible with my other IP Camera so am able to get Picture-in-Picture.
I also managed to get it working on my mobile, although it works it's not brilliant, the problem originally seems that I was not pressing the Mobile button which was why the phone would not display the picture.

Although a fairly basic camera, it would be well suited for anyone just starting off, so well worth keeping a eye open for a good deal that is not going to break the bank.

Sorry, but just one last word.

Strangely enough the black camera is a lot LESS noticeable on the inside of the window especially if there are no curtains, whereas the white one sticks out like a sore thumb. (Which for my purpose I don't really want people to see it)
