Have you taken your Christmas Tree down yet?
For us, first job in the morning and a visit to the loft where it will remain until next December unless we decide to move house, then I think we would want a removal van just for the contents of the loft (attic) :Xmas4:

Now we know why you have had all that bad luck, didn't anybody tell you that it is bad luck to take the decorations down before the 12th night
(6th January)

I took our trees down today, packed them in their boxes ready for this year, a bit late doing it but couldn't leave them up all year.

I am in the very last statement category......

Christmas is over. So when do you take down your Christmas tree? Just like there are various times when people put up their Christmas tree, there are various times for people to take down their Christmas tree.

Some people don't have a specific date to take down their Christmas tree. They take down the tree simply whenever they can conjure up the motivation to do so soon after Christmas Day.

However, others do have very specific dates that they adhere to.

So, what are the rules for taking down your Christmas tree? That depends on whether you are superstitious, traditional, or religious.

According to DIY LIFE here are popular dates when you should take down the Christmas tree along with the reason why:

December 31: Take your Christmas tree down on New Year's Eve before the bells toll at midnight. Otherwise it's said you'll be dragging all your baggage and bad luck from one year into the next year. This advice is for people who are superstitious.

January 5: Take your Christmas tree down on the Twelfth Day of Christmas. Think of it as getting closure on the holiday season. This advice is for people who are traditional.

January 6: Take your Christmas tree down on January 6 in observance of Epiphany, a Christian holiday marking the revelation of God in human form, in the person of Jesus. This advice is for those who are religious.

Of course, you can take down your Christmas tree and put away all those glittery decorations at any time.
